hahaha alright I know that the title is weird...but look at who's writing the journal homechickens lol. Alright so if you have no clue of what I'm talking about...Jason is the guitarist, Bryce is the bassist, Rick is the drummer, and the Australian guy is another guitarist for a really cool band. I'll give you a hint...people get them confused with lighthouse sometimes. Give up? Well it's Lifehouse!!! yeppers that's right...lifehouse! lol. Oh and so you know..heck I'm not sure why I'm calling him the "Australian Guy" lol, his name is Ben .


Alright so this is my first review I guess you can say for a concert. I was very pleased overall with what I saw...plus it was pretty much my first official concert . The opening band was Absentstar...a freakin' rad band from the chicago area (what is up with me and chicago bands...Chevelle, disturbed, and now Absentstar lol). The band did a really good job in getting the crowd all pumped up and ready for lifehouse. Of course I had no clue what the songs were but it was all good...I still bobbed my head and smiled throughout the entire set .

Lifehouse finally came on and my heart was beating really fast and I couldn't help but jump a little and scream my head off (yes I screamed my head off lol). I don't remember the setlist, and I'm really sorry about that...but this was my first concert and I just wanted to take it all in lol. After a few songs, Jason started to chat a little with some fans while on stage. I guess there was a kid with a shirt that either said "You can read my tissue" or it said "You can read my t-shirt" (I could barely understand Jason while he was talking and everyone was laughing and screaming lol). Anyways it seemed like Jason got a kick out of it because he looked around and laughed saying "well that's simple enough" and went on to talk to another fan out in the crowd. I think the only thing I didn't like about the whole thing was the fact that there was a really tall and rude guy right in front of me. Other than that I had a blast.

After the show I saw two of the band members from absentstar. One of them looked and me and then looked away and then quickly looked at me again and pretty much screamed (because it was loud in the lobby lol) "Free Hugs!" hahaha it just so happened that while they were on stage they said "Come chat with us after the show and get some free hugs". My friend Mindy got a kick out of it because I was wearing a shirt she gave me that said "Free Hugs" lol. So yeah I got 2 free hugs from the two members and it was all good. I didn't get to actually meet Lifehouse since I had to get home because I had work in the morning (darn daycare!! lol) but I also heard that they didn't come out to talk to fans...so it's all good lol.


so yeah that's what happened on the 14....very exciting and I want to see them again. I always swore that Chevelle would be my first band to see live...but lifehouse beat them to it lol. If you ever get the chance to see lifehouse perform live...take that chance .
